Sustainability & Compliance Declaration

By submitting this form, the supplier acknowledges and accepts that cooperation with Kandahar Tabarak Group (KTG) is subject to strict compliance with international standards, local regulations, and ethical business practices. Suppliers agree to the following binding requirements:

1. Environmental Responsibility
Absolutely no uncontrolled dumping, discharge, or release of mine tailings, toxic waste, or hazardous by-products into land, water, or air. Suppliers must operate with proper water management, dust suppression, soil protection, and biodiversity preservation measures. Clear plans for land rehabilitation and mine closure must be maintained and implemented. Continuous monitoring of environmental performance, including greenhouse gas emissions and CO₂ footprint, is required, with disclosure upon request. Use of mercury, cyanide, and other banned substances is strictly prohibited unless authorized under international best practice standards.

2. Health & Safety (HSE)
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy workplace environment in line with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards and national law. Workers must be equipped with appropriate protective equipment (PPE), safety gear, and training. Documented policies on incident reporting, accident prevention, emergency response, and medical support must be in place. A record of workplace accidents and training sessions must be maintained and made available during audits.

3. Prohibition of Child Labor & Forced Labor
Employment of children under the legal minimum working age is strictly forbidden. No use of forced, bonded, trafficked, or prison labor is permitted under any circumstances. Compliance with ILO Conventions 138 (Minimum Age) and 182 (Worst Forms of Child Labour), as well as relevant Afghan labor law and international human rights standards, is mandatory.
Workers must have freedom of movement and the right to voluntarily terminate employment.

4. Fair Wages & Working Conditions
All workers must receive wages that meet or exceed national minimum standards, paid in full and on time. Overtime, where applicable, must be voluntary and compensated at legal rates. Discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, or political opinion is prohibited. Workers must have the right to freedom of association, collective bargaining, and grievance reporting without retaliation. Safe and decent working and living conditions must be ensured for all employees, including subcontracted labor.

5. Community Impact & Local Benefit
Suppliers are expected to hire local labor wherever possible and contribute to local community development. Activities must respect indigenous rights, tribal customs, and land tenure. Engagement with local communities must be transparent, respectful, and documented. Suppliers should demonstrate contributions to sustainable economic benefit for host communities.

6. Anti-Corruption & Transparency
KTG enforces a zero-tolerance policy on bribery, facilitation payments, kickbacks, extortion, or any form of corruption. All suppliers must comply with the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), applicable EU directives, and relevant national anti-corruption legislation. Full transparency in financial records, invoices, and contractual dealings is mandatory. All suppliers must maintain accurate records, invoices, and financial statements subject to audit. Undisclosed intermediaries, shell companies, and false invoicing are prohibited.

7. Supply Chain Traceability
Suppliers must maintain verifiable documentation of the lawful origin of all materials, covering the full chain from mine site through transport, stockyard, processing, and export. Any material linked to conflict zones, sanctioned parties, or embargoed territories will be rejected. Suppliers must disclose subcontractors, transport partners, and joint venture partners upon request. Compliance with OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas is mandatory.

8. Legal Compliance & International Standards
All business must comply with Afghan law, the supplier’s national law, and applicable international trade, export control, and customs regulations. Compliance with sanctions regimes imposed by the United Nations, European Union, United States, and other relevant jurisdictions is required. Suppliers must cooperate with KTG’s due diligence, KYC (Know Your Customer), and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks.

9. Enforcement & Consequences
Non-compliance with any of the above standards will result in immediate termination of cooperation, permanent blacklisting, and possible reporting to national and international regulatory authorities. KTG reserves the right to conduct audits, site inspections, and independent laboratory testing at any time, with or without prior notice. Submission of this form does not constitute supplier approval; only written confirmation by KTG establishes a contractual relationship.
